The Making of Morrie's - Why Morries?

Morrie’s Steakhouse went from a dream to a dining destination, and you’re invited to see our journey.

“The Making of Morrie’s” will traces the transformation of Foleys Fish, Chop and Steakhouse into Morrie’s Steakhouse.

The restaurant at 2507 S. Shirley Ave. was acquired by Sioux Falls restaurant group Vanguard Hospitality in the spring of 2016.

“It was a beautiful place. The bones were great. A classic, Chicago-style steakhouse,” Vanguard CEO Ken Bashore says. “We just love the building."

After getting to know the restaurant “and visiting with guests, it just made sense to make it a steakhouse and define it as that,” chief operating officer Tim Meagher adds.
